THE JOYCE NICHOLSON HALL
The Joyce Nicholson Hall holds 100 people, including any performers but only 80 people when alcohol is consumed, The hall has tables and chairs, making it a good sized venue. The hall is ideal to hold wedding receptions, christenings, adult and children's parties. It is currently used for many different physical activities, such as badminton, table tennis, zumba and pilates and it is also the venue for Arnside Youth Project.
A lift from the foyer to just outside the Hall makes it accessible for everyone.
One of the new facilities in the Joyce Nicholson Hall is a large projector screen measuring 3.5 metres wide.
See below for further details regarding the size of the hall and other facilities available.
There is an adjoining kitchen that is fully equipped, a cooker, a fridge, and plenty of crockery and cutlery. There is no additional fee for hiring the kitchen when the Hall is hired.
Named to commemorate Miss Joyce Nicholson, a resident of Arnside who left a generous bequest to Arnside Educational Institute, enabling us to make many improvements to the building and to issue educational grants.
